AUDITION OPPORTUNITY FOR PROJECTS 2026

Picture
Lewis Major is seeking skilled dancers with a strong foundation in classical technique, partnering, and improvisation for multiple national and international contracted projects, including new work development and extensive touring.

We are looking for committed, disciplined artists who share our appetite for dreaming and doing, and welcome applications from both experienced professionals and strong recent graduates. However, don’t be discouraged if you don’t have the ‘required’ experience – belief is a fuel that will go far; if you have a bit of that and a touch of unabashed hope, then we may be well suited!

Projects in 2026 will involve creation periods, performances, and overseas residencies across Australia, Europe, Asia and the Americas.
Dancers must hold a valid passport, be legally allowed to work in Australia, and non-European passport holders must not have spent more than 90 days in the Schengen zone in the past 6 months (if you're unsure what this means, it likely doesn't apply to you!).

Contracted dancers must be willing to relocate for certain periods of work. All contracts will be paid at the equivalent award rate according to experience level.
Accommodation, travel, and per diems will be provided for projects taking place outside South Australia.

Applications will be assessed on a rolling basis, and selected dancers will be invited to a private audition with the company at a mutually agreeable time and location (in Australia or Europe) in February & March 2026.

We request interested dancers submit a simple EOI form at the website below. The form will close on the 31st of January. We will endeavour to get back to applicants within 48 hours of receiving their submission with further details.

Please ensure your footage includes performance, rehearsal/studio material, and examples of both floorwork and proficiency in classical technique, where possible.
Financial assistance for travel and accommodation may be available for interstate or international applicants. Please indicate in the form if you would like to be considered. Support is also available for international dancers securing necessary visas, though applicants remain responsible for their own eligibility.

All data collected will remain strictly confidential.

We look forward to hearing from you!
